Here are a few other great cookbooks that didn't really fit into any other category, but still definitely woth buying.
The French Laundry Cookbook|
by Thomas Keller
This is a very fun cookbook for the advanced cooks and chefs out there. Many of the recipes are fairly time consuming, but definitely worth it if you want to follow them. Personally I like the book to read through and get ideas for modifying my dishes from it rather than following his through completion. The photographs are amazing too. Recommended by Ira Krizo, Christian Chef.
by Steven Jenkins
Here you'll find all you ever wanted to know about cheese, including styles, regions, and even different cheesemaking procedures. Recommended by Ira Krizo, Christian Chef.
Techniques of Healthy Cooking|
by The Culinary Institute of America
This is a book that teaches about how to cook healthier. It has over 400 recipes (each with nutritional facts) that help you to reduce the calories of dishes while still retaining the flavor. Recommended by Ira Krizo, Christian Chef.
Herbs & Spices|
by Jill Norman
(review coming soon - Mary Z)
Martha Stewart's Hors d'Oeuvres Handbook|
by Martha Stewart
I am personally not that into Martha Stewart's other books, but this one I really do like. It has numerous great ideas about canapes, tea sandwiches, and pretty much anything else to make an elegant cocktail party buffet. Recommended by Ira Krizo, Christian Chef.
