Vegetarian Baby Bok Choy

Yield: 8 portions

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups (475ml) of organic green onions, medium chopped
  • 1/4 cup (60ml) of organic Coconut Oil
  • 6 organic Cloves of Garlic, finely chopped
  • 2 pounds (900g) of organic Baby Bok Choy rinsed and trimmed and large cut
  • 1 teaspoon (5ml) of organic Sesame Oil
  • 1 teaspoon (5ml) of kosher Sea Salt
  • 1 teaspoon (5ml) of Black Pepper

Procedure:

  • Heat oil in a large roasting pan on high heat. Add onions then the garlic until nice golden brown, add the Bok Choy drizzle the sesame oil and the salt and black pepper. Cook for about 5 minutes.
  • Reduce the heat to low heat, stir and let it cook for 4 minutes and serve while is hot.

Note from Chef Julio:

This recipe combines very healthy ingredients that are called "Super foods" for example garlic helps to treat high blood pressure, high cholesterol and respiratory infection. These "Super Foods" are also effective for preventing conditions like cancer and diabetes.

Coconut Oil has great health benefits that causes energy and increase the metabolism as well as antibacterial effects. Last but not least, Baby Boy Choy also known as Chinese cabbage, which provides a good source of Vitamin C, Vitamin K and a vital B-complex such as B6, B5, and B1.

To get the full benefits of this recipe, I would recommend that all the ingredients be organic. This recipe will help with weight loss and give you energy all at the same time.
