Job Classification: Non-Exempt
Job Summary: Mount Calvary Christian School of Elizabethtown, PA has an opening for a Food Services
Coordinator beginning in November 2020. Salary is commensurate with experience. Job consists of
approximately 25 weekly scheduled hours; additional hours required with events.
Positional Requirements: The Food Services Coordinator should fulfill requirements of aptitude in food
service procedures as evidenced by education and/or experience. He/she must be supportive of the school’s
purposes and policies. He/she must be ServSafe certified or capable of obtaining certification within 2-3
months of hire.
Essential Duties: The Food Services Coordinator’s responsibilities shall include, but not be limited to the
1. General Food Service Daily Duties
a. Oversee with lunch preparation
b. Secure daily lunch count
c. Oversee cashier and/or food-credit attributions for daily lunch
d. Oversee kitchen help
e. Secure daily volunteers
f. Walk through kitchen, checking refrigeration, cleanliness, and insuring all appliances have been
2. General Food Service Weekly Duties
a. Lead kitchen devotions
b. Order supplies
c. Visit grocery store for miscellaneous items
d. See that towels and dish clothes have been laundered
3. Miscellaneous Duties
a. Coordinate snack shop and hot lunches
b. Schedule paid help and volunteers
c. Prepare monthly menus
d. Insure the preparedness of the kitchen for other groups to use
e. Inspect reports and kitchen when used by other groups
f. Coordinate the use of the kitchen with other school activities
g. Charge for use of table clothes by groups other than the church
h. Remain current and follow all DER regulations.
i. Be prepared for annual health inspections.
j. Coordinate and supervise Friday class lunch.
1. Coordinate and help serve all funeral luncheons.
2. Kitchen coordination for church events as assigned.
3. Help in facilitating church events that have food preparation.

g. All other duties as assigned
Working Conditions & Physical Requirements: The physical demands described here are representative of

walk, and to reach overhead.
Spiritual Qualifications: The Food Services Coordinator should be a born again Christian who possesses a
strong Christian testimony and evidence of spiritual maturity. He/she should agree with the school’s published
doctrinal position and support the ministry of Mount Calvary Church. Although membership at the church is
preferred, it is not required. He/she should possess qualities of Christian leadership as recorded in 1 Timothy
3:2-12, Titus 1:6-9, Matthew 20:26-27 and Mark 9:35.
