Title | Kitchen Shift Lead |
Responsibilities | Qualifications:
• Ability to thrive in a Christian Setting
• Shift Lead/Management experience preferred
• 5+ years proven cooking experience, including experience as a line cook, lead cook, or lead baker, large operation preferred
• In-depth knowledge of special diets and common food allergies
• Self-motivated, honest, and dependable, maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and guests
• Must be able to lift 30lbs and stand for long periods of time
• Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures
• Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks
• Familiar with industry’s best practices
• ServSafe or SafeStaff Certified
Specific Responsibilities:
• Oversee kitchen staff during shift in the preparation of meals, meal serve, and nightly clean up
• Make sure all aspects of the service meets and exceeds state health standards.
• Set-up and stocking service stations with all necessary supplies
• Prepare food for service (i.e., chopping vegetables, butchering and cooking meat, preparing sauces)
• Assist in cleaning up kitchen and proper cooling techniques for any leftover foods
• Guide Camp Counselors and Work Campers in various service and recovery tasks
• Help assist the Food Service Manager and Asst. Food Service Manager maintain proper inventory
• Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards
• Weekends and Nights a must (typically out before 8pm) |

Responsibilities | Qualifications:

• Proven cooking experience, including experience as a prep cook, line cook, or baker
• Some knowledge of special diets and common food allergies
• Self-motivated, honest, and dependable, maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and guests
• Must be able to lift 30lbs and stand for long periods of time
• Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures
• Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks
• Familiar with industry’s best practices
• ServSafe or SafeStaff Certified
Responsibilities:

• Maintain front of house serving areas
• Clean up station and take care of leftover food

• Weekends and Nights a must (typically out before 8pm) |

Other Details | Our facility is a beautiful camp and conference center located on Lake Griffin, owned and operated by the Florida Conference of the United Methodist Church. We offer several different accommodations across our 300 acre site for groups of all sizes. Our camp side is available for retreats during the year except for 7 weeks in the summer. We have over 3,600 kids come to our in-house Summer Camp program, during which we are closed to outside groups. Our conference center side is open year round to all groups. |
