ResponsibilitiesEssential Functions:

• Uphold and demonstrate our Theological and Operation Values, Purpose and Vision
• Prepare and serve buffet style meals, for both small and large numbers (up to 1,000 guests per meal)
• Plan menus and use food efficiently to meet accepted food cost percentages
• Determine daily assignments and weekly labor schedules to meet labor cost percentages
• Oversee the completion of tasks and cleaning charts
• Train and guide staff on job duties, proper food safety and sanitation procedures, and cooking methods
• Adhere to Health Code and sanitation standards, as well as all safety practices
• Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks and proper time management
• Maintain a positive and professional approach with co-workers and customers
• Demonstrate a high standard of leadership, organization, and administration skills
• Foster a team-oriented work environment
• Perform any other reasonable duties and tasks as assigned by Food Service Director as business dictates


• Minimum of three (3) years of food preparation and service experience’ including supervisory responsibilities
• Possess a strong command of cooking and food presentation
• Grounded in all culinary fundamentals, techniques and principles
• Ability to work flexible hours and cover other shifts and days off, including weekends and holidays
• Able to work independently with limited supervision
• Capable of lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling up to 50 pounds
• Competent in Microsoft Word and Excel

Other DetailsThe PM Lead Cook & Supervisor is primarily responsible for the preparation, cooking and serving of the dinner menu, along with any other special functions or banquets. He or she will need to establish and uphold GBCC policies and standard operating procedures. Position is responsible for implementing and overseeing all training and mentoring of culinary and steward positions.
