ResponsibilitiesMichindoh Conference Center is a year-round Christian Camp and Conference Center located in South Central Michigan. We serve guest groups ranging in size from 50 to 500, with some meals reaching as high as 900. We have guests of all ages but 60-70% are high school age or younger. We view food-service as our Ministry and would like to bring in someone who shares a similar vision to join our team.
Will primarily be a second shift lead cook with responsibilities of leading and/or assisting in the preparation of meals, cleanup and closing the kitchen. Is often the shift leader responsible for the supervision of other kitchen staff. Will rotate into other shifts including weekends and some holidays. Will assist the Food Service Director with menu planning, inventory, scheduling and special event planning. While much of the cooking is large batch production style cooking, we also do scratch cooking and prepare high class meals for special events. Creativity is encouraged. We are looking for a self-motivated individual who loves the Lord and desires to use food service as a ministry to others.
Pay$11 hour + housing ( a small 1 bedroom unit) and utilities + meals
