|Responsibilities||The Cook is responsible for oversight of the Missions kitchens/ pantry area. Work as part of a team to prepare nutritious meals and mentor the men, women, and children in a clean, Christ-like environment.
This includes maintenance of equipment, and supervision of Team Members who are assigned to the kitchen. This position also works closely with volunteers groups.
Essential Job Duties
Be willing to work weekends.
Be willing to work holidays as needed.
Be willing to travel to different Mission sites to work assigned shifts.
Prepare and serve meals during the week as scheduled.
Make sure the kitchen and food storage areas are clean and organized.
Supervise all clients and volunteers working in the kitchen.
Monitor safety of all clients and volunteers in and around the kitchen.
Demonstrate good use of donated food items.
Ensure proper quantity and quality of food served on his/her shift.
Work as part of the team with other staff members.
Able to mentor the Men, women and children in the shelters.
Confront inappropriate behavior from clients or staff respectfully and consistently.
Participate in staff meetings as determined by the Food Services Manager.
Attend all Mission mandatory training classes.
Any other job-related duties as assigned by supervisor.

|Title||Kitchen Ministry Coordinator/Riverton Place
|Responsibilities||The Kitchen Ministry Coordinator is is responsible for the oversight of the kitchen ministry, which includes meals, guest supervision, donations, volunteers, pantry and kitchen maintenance, and work as part of a team to prepare nutritious meals and supervising program clients who are assigned to the kitchen in a clean, safe, healing environment.

Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
Essential Job Duties:
Ensure up-to-date and effective written policies and procedures to guide kitchen operations
Train and supervise program clients and unpaid staff assigned to the kitchen
Post weekly kitchen work schedule for staff and prepare the work schedule for shelter residents working in the kitchen
Order, maintain, inventory, and inspect all kitchen food items, stock and supplies
Craft & help prepare well-rounded nutritious meals on a daily basis
Work effectively with gues/staff to create an environment that supports life transformation through effective work therapy
Maintain a clean and safe kitchen and storage area
Maintain accurate meal counts on a daily basis and complete the log kept for this purpose
Participate in shelter community & staff meetings as determined by the Food Services Director
Willing to work weekends, holidays, and AM or PM shifts as needed
Attend all mandatory training classes
Mentor the women and children in the shelter confronting inappropriate behavior from clients or staff respectfully and consistently
Complete donated food log for all food donations received at kitchen location.
Any other job-related duties as assigned by supervisor
