Other DetailsCanyonville Academy, formerly Canyonville Christian Academy, is looking for a full-time cook and a part-time cook.

We are a Christian college preparatory boarding high school with students from all over the world.

School year schedule is followed.

Built in Holiday vacations - Thanksgiving, Christmas and Spring Break (last full week of March).

A background check is required. Must be able to maintain Department of Human Services and Environmental Health/Sanitation standards.

Candidates should lead by example and also follow the listed criteria:

•Have a passion for quality food, service, and working with a team.

•Well organized, highly self-motivated, detail oriented, and able to work in small spaces efficiently

•Good knife skills and basic cooking techniques.

•Knowledge of different ingredients and their uses.

•Able to maintain a courteous and professional attitude

•Contribute to creating and planning new menu items.

•Meet or exceed productivity and quality standards, problem solve, and take corrective action as needed to ensure quality standards are maintained.

•Possess a strong sense of urgency and a positive attitude.

•Positive demeanor and love of your craft is essential.

•1-2 years fine dining and/or banquets experience preferred. Culinary school training is a plus.

•Capable of creating & completing production lists in an efficient manner.

•Multi-tasking with production during service hours.
