• Maintain proper work attire and wear clean clothes for every shift
• Wear appropriate work shoes conducive for standing and walking for long periods of time
• Cleaning all the kitchen equipment before and after use
• Cleaning the kitchen and maintaining the cleanliness at all times as there could be an inspection anytime
• Cooking dishes under the supervision of the head Chocolatier
• Assist in maintaining product inventory
• Maintain a stock of chocolate samples that can be presented to customers
• Monitor stock and inventory and place orders when there are shortages
• Ensure all food and other items are stored properly
• Set up workstations with all needed ingredients and cooking equipment
• Provide planning and direction for the pastry team to fulfill orders in a timely manner
• Giving suggestions to the head Chocolatier regarding new preparations and the menu
• Should know the menu thoroughly and should be able to make each item on the menu
• Fill in for absent kitchen staff and head Chocolatier
• Help in maintain a clean store front
• Help with proper merchandising of products
• Help with packaging and shipping of online orders
• Help the head Chocolatier in training the new staff
• Coordinate with the other kitchen staff
• Update the accounts of the restaurant for the head Chocolatier
• Report any mishaps in the kitchen
• Apply safety standards
• Keep a check of the safety equipment
• Complete a though cleaning after every shift including ensuring that all:
o Surfaces are wiped clean and sanitized
o Trash is taken out and emptied
o Floors are swept and mopped appropriately
o Dishes are washed and sanitized
o Maintain an immaculate organized working environment
o Update daily cleaning logs
Pay12/hr - 15/hr
