Alumni of the Christian Culinary Academy are welcome to apply for a full-time 2nd year internship to further their knowledge in culinary arts and management.
Interns will receive the following experience
- Assistant instructing
- Supervision of student jobs
- Supervision and planning of Student-Run Restaurant Week
- Supervision and planning of school catering events
- Hands-on experience in local restaurants
- Planning & Coordination of Christian Chefs International Conference
- Advanced educational material will be built in for furthered education in foodservice & management
- Administrative tasks, such as e-mails, ordering, costing, research, and phone calls
- Resident Assistant (supervision of dormitory policy)
- Note: Please note that the internship description is not inclusive, as this is a "whatever it takes" type of position. To provide alumni with the fullest experience possible during the year, internship is a full-time plus educational experience.
Requirements for consideration
- Must be an alumni of the Christian Culinary Academy
- Homework must have been turned in on time 95%+ of the time
- Very high past professionalism & attendance grades
- At least 3.7 GPA
- Good interpersonal skills & personality type to hold a supervisory roll
- Computer skills, somewhat competent in MS Word & MS Excel (some training is available)
