Cook's Illustrated
This is a great magazine that really gets deep into why we do what we do through using a test-kitchen approach to finding the best recipe, method, cooking technique, and even cooking supply and equipment test reviews. Somewhat of a Consumer Reports magazine on cooking. Recommended by Ira Krizo, Christian Chef.
Art Culinaire
Art Culinare is a hardcover quarterly magazine with almost no advertising and only articles and recipes (full-page & full-color photographs) from top chefs around the world. Many of these recipes aren't realistic even in the finest dining restaurants, but it's a great resource to get ideas from and you'll reference them for years to come. Food Arts
Food Arts is a magazine with a lot of hot new trends and is free to anyone in the food-service industry. Being free, this link takes you directly to the Food Arts website rather than to the Amazon store. Recommended by Ira Krizo, Christian Chef.
